    unable to launch executable files because of kde safety

    hi i have this proplem witch is when ever i try to launch an executable i get a message that says "the file (file name) is an executable program for safety it will not be started" is there a way to get around these problem

    Assuming you know about execute permission (such as right-click in dolphin, properties, permissions tab, is executable checkbox)...

    Where is the file?

    A file system can be marked as "noexec" when it is mounted, and this is normal for removable devices, or drives mounted by the user, as a security measure. No executable will run from them. You can copy them to, say, your ~/bin directory to run them from there.
