[SOLVED] Unable to run .desktop files in latest Kubuntu backports KDE version

I'm using the KDE 5.28 packages from the Kubuntu backports PPA. Since the upgrade to 5.28 I'm unable to run .desktop files.

If I double-click on a .desktop file in Dolphin it comes up with a dialog box asking if I want to Open, Execute or Cancel. I click 'Execute' but it doesn't run the script or program that the Desktop file points to - it shows the notification in the task bar but nothing more happens.

Thanks, that was it. The workaround suggested in the bug worked for me:
settings->applicatins->default applications->Terminal Emulator->Use a different terminal program the path to the konsole program: /usr/bin/konsole
