[SOLVED] No Sound after installing new Graphic Card

Hello,

Can someone assist me with an strange problem.

Mine old Graphic Adapter an Nvidia Quatro NVS 290 was end of life and has no HDMI and have i replaced with an ASUS Nvidia Geforce 210 Silent and after installing the Graphic Card i have no sound. Mine headphone is correct connected but i see by KMIX only playing sound trough HDMI but i don´t use the HDMI i use the ports on mine internal sound card.

So how to get back the sound i am using KUBUNTU 14.10 I386 i don know what to do.

The only audio device you are showing in the lspci output is the graphics card's hdmi. You may need to check your bios to see if somehow the on-board sound has been disabled.
If it has, and you can turn it back on, you will then need to go into System Settings >> Multimedia >> Device Preference and give it a higher priority over the hdmi output. -,move the card to the top of the list in the relevant categories.
