[SOLVED] I can't open documents online

Hello,

When I go on-line to download documents, instead

of it opening a screen pops up and says "open with"

and there are no options to open with librewriter so

I was seeing if anyone knows how I can fix this problem.

There should be an option to "Save as" that you can check. Is there?

Yes, it does that, but was wondering, should'nt it
open and view automattically without having
to save it to the computer? and then have the
option to save-as to the computer?

What type of 'online' "documents" are you referring to? What is the extension it ends with in the URL?

.php, i'm taking on-line college courses and need to
open them sometmes before saving them to my computer.
the pdf and word files that the professors give each week
for assignments, I can right click on link and save it
to my computer but i used to be able to just click
it and libreoffice would open it auto-matically, so
was seeing if theres settings i can adjust to get it
to were it opens auto like before.

i thought of something that may work, I can
delete libreoffice from my computer and
then reinstall it or try openoffice?

To change the association of file types, go to System Settings > File Associations > Configure file associations. Type in the extension then click on the match in the list below. In the Application Preference Order click on and move to the top of the list the application you want to have launched. If the application isn't listed, click on Add.. and select the application to use and then move it to the top of the list.

ok thanks also I noticed I do not
have the browser plugin installed
so Im also installing the browser plugin
now as well. for libreoffice.

Glad you've got that, but BTW, it sounded like you are using LibreOffice writer to edit PHP code. Maybe that's the tool you know, but a proper source code editor like kate will support you better (... PHP, ), even if you're only reading it, thanks to syntax highlighting.
