    Disable file types/sizes in Digikam?

I just got around to importing a load of photos from my camera phone and unfortunately, I noticed it now imports more file types.

So while trying to import half a dozen photos I had to wade through hundreds of mp3 files as well as album covers and even small icons and overlays from phone themes.
Not only that, it took forever to scan the phone as well.

In the settings there is an option to ADD more file types but nothing to remove them.

I would like to be able to disable audio files and any files under a certain file size.
    Is this possible?

Digikam has been the ONLY photo app that suits my needs and it took me months of trying different ones to settle on it but now it has become such a pain I just cannot use it like this.

    This is on KDE 4.6.1

just restrict the folders it scans for your images maybe?

At the bottom of digikam there is a filter button where you can choose what things to show, one option is 'only images'

Well I plug the phone in and use the popup to tell it to download photos with digikam and I don't get to choose which folders it scans.
If I use the "add folder" option to browse to the camera folder on the phone, then it just wants to auto import EVERYTHING from the camera folder which includes some photos I might not want to import for whatever reason.

Also there is no option at the bottom to only show image files and even if there was, it would still take forever to scan through all the music files and everything before filtering.

I really find it incredible they have added more file types to scan without giving the option to disable any of them.
Some of us prefer to keep one app for music, another for video and another for photos and not have everything shoehorned into one without the option NOT to have it.

sorry, I think maverick is at 1.8, I thought it was at 1.9. though you should still have the button there in 1.8

as to them adding support for other files, you probably will need to ask the digikam folks perhaps there is a way to edit a config, or perhaps it is a bug or a not yet implemented feature.

most cameras these days support audio/video so having this on by default does make sense, but obviously should be configurable...

Yes I can confirm that option doesn't appear on my version
I have submitted a bug report (which I can't post here because bugzilla seems to be having problems at the moment).

              Sorry, a little confusion.

Yes, I do have the same button in the main Digikam window but NOT in the import window, where I'm having problems.
