I am running Kubuntu 10.10 and was wondering how I could change the digital clock on the taskbar to show AM/PM time instead of 24-hour. I check the locale settings and it shows that the system time is in AM/PM but Date & Time show 24-hour.

The Time format shows "PH:MM:SS AMPM" but the clock still shows 24-hour time.Comment

After you've made the selection, the clock won't reflect the change until you restart your system.Slava Ukraini! πΊπ¦

Well, setting the Time format and restarting works here, and should for you as well. Have you tried removing the Clock widget and readding it?Slava Ukraini! πΊπ¦

I have the same problem in Kubuntu 12.04. The Locale time format is showing the am/pm but the clock insists on 24hr clock. I have rebooted and have also removed the widget and put it back in, to no avail.Comment

Developed and tested on KDE 4.8 with Qt 4.7 (Kubuntu 11.10).
With the adjustable clock it is possible to have both the 12 hour and the 24 hour format with the clock.
