KMenu Drag&Drop not working

Hi,
I recently switch gentoo with kde 4 to kubuntu. In my old system I could drag&drop icons/programs from the old style kmenu to the taskbar to add quicklaunch buttons. But in my kubuntu kde drag&drop seems to be locked. Is there a way to enable drag&drop to the taskbar again? I don't like the quicklaunch plasmoid

Ensure that you don't have widgets 'locked.' If they are unlocked, then drag & drop from the K Menu does work.

Hi,
I have widgets unlocked (i see the cashew in the right corner of my dock) but my KMenu doesn't accept the drag&drop. I can only click to start programs. Dragging is disabled, even with an unlocked bar

What version of Kubuntu and KDE are you running?

KDE 4.4.4

There are 'two' "K Menu" widgets. Make sure you are using the 'Application Launcher' and not the 'Application Launcher Menu' widget. It does work here.

I only have the new (kickoff "K-Menü") and the classic menu (old style version, "K-Menü traditionell" [German sysetm]), which I am using. I just tested the kickoff menu and I can use drag&drop there. So I can fill up my taskbar with my programs and switch back to the classic menu. Its a workaround but still I could use drag&drop with the same classic menu and kde 4.4 in gentoo before in kubuntu its somehow locked.
