    Firefox "Open with..."

    Can anyone tell me how to setup Firefox to use KDE's application chooser for downloaded files and applications?

    Also, if it's just one specific file format, you can right click on the file > Properties
    You'll see "Type: <insert type here>" with a wrench button on the right. Click the wrench and it'll let you change the associated programs. If you're wanting Firefox to be the default browser for local HTML files, all you have to do is set Firefox as the default browser as mentioned in the article. If you have Firefox 3.5 installed, you'll want to set it to "firefox-3.5" instead of just "firefox".

    Another option is to right click > Open With... > Other > Choose program > click "Remember application association for this type of file".

        I have the same problem, I can't open Dolphin or other program with download window panel of Firefox, I need to specify "dolphin" to open the browser but I don't know how.

        I will try the sugestion http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8394025

          According the procedure below it'is ok my Firefox and Kubuntu.

          sudo add-apt-repository ppa:debfx/firefox-kde
          sudo apt-get update
          sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
          sudo apt-get install firefox-3.5 firefox-3.5-kde
