    Problems with upgrading to kde4.3

Hi I am new to the community here, but i didn't found something useful on google, so I try to get help here.

I had all working on kde4.2. Now there was 4.3 released and my update manager didn't allow me to install all the update packages. So I tried aptitude and it didn't allow it either. But I went on. So after restarting the KDE session wasn't available anymore and apt said: Broken Packages .
After reinstalling using a new sourc for packages I finally got kubuntu-desktop working, but not kde in particular.
kde wants kdeedu and this wants kstars, but kstars needs libindi0, but libindi0 won't install!
apt sais broken packages again and the error is:

    dpkg: Error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libindi0_0.6-0ubuntu1_i386.deb (--unpack):

    Hope this helps.

    Patrick

EDIT: I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 with kde 4.3

EDIT2: apt-get won't let me install anymore software, like yakuake and so on :-/ ...

Re: Problems with upgrading to kde4.3

      Hi,

I looked it up. So I removed the staging source from my sourcelist, but it will not help. Aptitude will not install anything else and -f install is just trying to fix libindi0, but it does not work.
Furthermore I tried to remove kstars, but this is impossible because aptitude says that kdeedu depends on kstars and, when trying to remove kdeedu it says kdeedu depends on kde, but with removing kde, i kill my desktop ...

So no I can't install anything new or remove kstars.

      Any other option?

        maybe
        Code:
        sudo apt-get --fix-broken
        More here:
        http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/...apt-get.8.html

"sudo apt-get update" is always a good start
