[FIX IDENTIFIED] KDE 4.1.3 Intrepid - system tray icons

Running Kubuntu Intrepid Ibex, KDE 4.1.3, Plasma Elegance Desktop Theme, desktop effects enabled, Compositing type: OpenGL.

Icons of some, not all, launched programs in the System Tray overlap the last icon. What appears to be happening, is when the System Tray is expanded to accommodate the new icon, the prior (last) icon isn't cleared, and the new icon gets placed on top of it. Anyone know if this is a glitch in Plasma? Is it fixable?

It's a well-known issue in 4.1.x, to be fixed in 4.2. It seems fixed for me in Neon's kde-nightly.
Often, switching to a virtual terminal, and switching back fixes this (ctrl-alt-f1 then ctrl-alt-f7)

Cool! Just tried the ctrl-alt-f1 then ctrl-alt-f7 suggestion. That 'cleaned up' the overlapped icon issue. I'll remember that one.

      Thanks claydoh.
