Kubuntu 14.04: Finally a Kubuntu I can get behind!

Okay major props here from a long time Kubuntu disliker, I always thought Kubuntu to be rather well... not good to put it mildly, it was always Ubuntu lite without any charm nor flavor but 14.04 is the first in a long time to wow me.
Sure I do wish that finally Kubuntu would get an art team or something for the wallpaper as its had the same one for the last 2 versions or so asnd is rather boring looking compared to some distros with custom art.
But as a KDE distro this is top notch for a change, and it even features firefox after so many years with konqui (which I never found good) or even konqueror.
With Muon better then ever and with some spiut and polish Kubuntu 14.04 is a great release.
Though if you guys newed a new wallpaper just give me a ring, I can come up with one in two seconds and while it may not look nice at least it will give kubuntu a new default wallpaper after the last 600 years it seems since it had its own wallpaper as opposed to the kde vanilla one.

As an avid photographer I'm typically running my own wallpaper.
But when I do a presentation I'm always positively impressed by the IMHO professional default background that shows up on the external display.

Anyhow, for those that don't know Kubuntu it's a new and fresh background anyway, those that do know Kubuntu will know how to change it to one of the other defaults or their own.
Because KDE is the most configurable DE around I am glad the developers restrain themselves from defaulting something that could be perceived as off the wall.

For those that take looks over function there is a whole website dedicated to the shiny aspect of the desktop: http://kde-look.org/

In case you want to show us your ideas regarding a New&Fresh wallpaper I suggest to use these dedicated places to show it off:
    https://www.kubuntuforums.net/forumd...php?35-Artwork
    https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showth...ht=screenshots

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate artistic ideas!
