I have a couple other GTK apps like inkscape installed so those other depends might have already been there. That dance plug-in sounds funny. i'll check it out!

Hummm well as is my way of installing thins I probably looked through synaptic (ya I still use synaptic)and installed every thing I found with cairo in it
maby I'll try it again and see, on that note have you tried the dance plug in? your icon's in the doc will dance to whatever s playing through the sound system LOL

I got tired of messing with conky and I've tried but I just can't handle dark themes for long. Currently, I'm trying to move to Cairodock instead of the usual panels. Here's my latest:[ATTACH=CONFIG]3583[/ATTACH]
Note the little cursor in the top-middle of the left screen (this is a dual monitor setup). I have konsole always open on the desktop but with 100% transparent background and no borders or title bar. I just click in the region of it to access the terminal. I used to use Yakuake all the time - but this is cooler IMO.
I like that,, looks nice ....
the last time I used Cairo it installed Nautilus and it would aouto start every boot up .....vary annoying how did you avoid/chang that ?
