i would still encourage you to file a bug report at bugs.kde.org about the konsole instances behavior.... i don't see how nvidia driver play into that behavior at and it does sound like something that needs to be addressed before then next LTS release.

I filed a bug report on 24 Sep 2025 for the Wayland/Konsole interaction issue at bugs.kde.org and they "resolved" it as a "duplicate".
This is due to the lack of session restore on Wayland. It's being worked on. One of the last pieces on the KDE side was merged into Plasma 6.4 [], but it also requires Qt 6.10 or later.

Can you link to it for us?
Others can 'subscribe' to it, which does increase its visibility.

Duplicate means it is at least being looked at.

The original bug report is "Support for real session save/restore on Wayland" https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436318
          There are twelve duplicates.

Ah, yes I should have associated it with general desktop session restore.

This is better overall in Plasma 6.4 than on 6.3, but Qt 6.10 was only just released, so probably 26.04 and whatever plasma version is out then.
