Hi - apologies if there's another more suitable part of the forums for this. By all means move it if so. I'm just posting here since I'm relatively new to Linux and only recently started using Kubuntu (largely because it recognised my Wifi adapter drivers straight out of the box, and other distros did not). Anyway -
25.04, I can't claim it's 100% up to date at all times but I try and install everything as soon as the notifications come in. No significant problems with the OS worth talking about until today, when I had a very brief power fluctuation that caused the computer to reboot, and - while this may not have anything to do with it - when it started back up, I noticed my DualSense controller wasn't working over Bluetooth. I tried forgetting and re-pairing it; didn't work. It now fails the process every time - it seems to be detected, then instantly turns off and ends with a "The setup of DualSense wireless controller has failed" message. So:
It doesn't seem to be the controller, since as far as I can tell it still works fine wired. (I have tested this.)
It doesn't seem to be the controller's Bluetooth, since it still pairs fine with my phone. (Haven't tested it, but it shows up as a DualSense wireless like it should.)
It doesn't seem to be the PC's Bluetooth adapter. I have an old DualShock 4 that also exhibits the same behaviour now if I try and pair it (never tried it with Linux, only Windows, but it should still be okay) - but at the same time my phone still pairs with it fine. (I have tested this.)
It doesn't seem to be the USB port, since the same behaviour shows up when the Bluetooth adapter is plugged into another port.
I tried a hard reboot to the point of powering the PSU off, unplugging from the wall, etc., just in case, but that didn't seem to help.
It's not life or death - again, it works wired - but I don't like leaving things "broken" when I don't know why they broke or how to fix them. I haven't tried anything with the terminal yet, but that's mostly just since I wouldn't know where to begin (internet search wasn't really any help). Hope all that makes sense. I'm aware there's a whole lot of information I haven't yet supplied, but I didn't want to clutter up the post straight away. If you want me to use any specific commands, or even just give you more precise hardware/software specs, please let me know.
