Switching from Gnome to Plasma on an existing install can be troublesome, as doing so is well known to have random small bugs and problems, or even bigger ones..

This depends on how you add Plasma to your existing Ubuntu Desktop. Adding a full Kubuntu Desktop setup is the most buggy.
Adding just the base Plasma is safer, but still might have small problems, or more.

If you do wish to try this, all you need to do is install: kde-plasma-desktop

Then, at login, you select Plasma as the desktop session instead of Gnome. This will give you a Plasma desktop with the basic applications.

You do not lose Gnome at all.

Removing Gnome, or Plasma, is a very tough task, so there really is no easy way to go back unless you use BTRFS and make snapshots.

Passer de Gnome à Plasma sur une installation existante peut s'avérer problématique, car cette opération est souvent source de petits bugs et problèmes, voire de plus gros.

Cela dépend de la manière dont vous ajoutez Plasma à votre bureau Ubuntu. L'ajout d'une configuration complète du bureau Kubuntu est la plus problématique.
L'ajout de la version de base de Plasma est plus sûr, mais peut néanmoins entraîner de petits problèmes, voire plus.

Si vous souhaitez essayer, il vous suffit d'installer : kde-plasma-desktop


Ensuite, lors de la connexion, sélectionnez Plasma comme session de bureau au lieu de Gnome. Vous obtiendrez ainsi un bureau Plasma avec les applications de base.

Vous ne perdrez pas Gnome.

Supprimer Gnome, ou Plasma, est une tâche très complexe ; il n'existe donc aucun moyen simple de revenir en arrière, sauf en utilisant BTRFS et en créant des instantanés.
