    [Post-Install] krunner window

krunner window does not consistently appear on the desktop. I know it is active, but cannot always see it.

    Welcome to KFN!

Can you elaborate? When you click your mouse pointer on your Desktop and start typing, does KRunner appear? If you press Alt+Space does it appear (and conversely, disappear when pressing Alt+Space again)?

I press Alt-Space and, most of the times, it does not show up. If I reboot, Alt-Space will work two or three times and then stop. So, it will work sporadically.

BTW, it worked flawlessly before the upgrade to 25.04.

Create a new user. Logout and log in with the new user. See if the anomalous behavior with KRunner persists or behaves correctly. If the latter, then the issue 'may' be related to a configuration file in your 'normal' users home directory.

Created a user and logged in, same behavior.

Update, I noticed that if I continuously press Alt-Space krunner will appear, perhaps some 10 times. I logged in using a plasma-X11 session and the system works as expected. So, the Wayland session does not seem to capture the alt-space key strokes reliably or does not execute the command. Since all other keys seem to work, I would go for the second.

Ok, after some research on the internet, seems their is a bug either in Qt6 or the nvidia driver. journalctl gives: qt.qpa.wayland: eglSwapBuffers failed with 0x300d, surface: 0x5d2051a372e0 So we can close this one for now. Thanks for the help.
