[Pre-Install] Do I go with Wayland or stay with X11?

I've poked around the Web and can't find a lot of information about 25.04. I can find beta info, and a ton of info about the Ubuntu release, but nothing about the actual release of Kubuntu 25.04 and what's new in KDE.

My main concern right now is that it ships with Wayland by default, but not all apps work with Wayland at this point, if I understand the information correctly.

So how do I find out whether Wayland is a good fit for me, so I can decide to go there or stay with X11?

Use it and see what works (almost all of it). If you find something that doesn't, then log in to an x11 session and set that as the default.
A LOT of the stuff on the intarwebs is outdated and sheer baloney.

However, there are enough things that are somewhat on the niche end that may not play nice. Even Nvidia complainers have been fairly quiet lately.

    So...just use it.

Wayland is working well for me, have not found anything that does not work with it yet. Except the various app docks. Try it and see.

Probably the most readily visible issue at the moment is the session restore only partially working. Previously opened windows do launch at login now, but they don't yet remember their positions.
