[Post-Install] Plucky will not reboot after laptop lid closure and reopening

Was trying to find a way to darken screen after hours. (xscreensaver doesn't work) After closing and reopening laptop lid, Plucky boot hangs on "Kubuntu" display. Has rendered my laptop totally useless.

Never mind. left it set for over an hour and was surprised to find boot successfully completed.
