    Upgrading Phaseing question / What does this mean?

    The following upgrades have been deferred due to phasing:
    libasound2-data libasound2t64 libasound2t64:i386 libatopology2t64

    I don't know what this means.
    Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.

      I found the answer using a Google search:

      Phased Updates:
      • This is a normal process in Ubuntu and is not an error.
      • It means the package update is being provided to a small group of users first to test for any issues.
      • If problems are detected (e.g., system crashes), the update can be stopped before it affects a wider user base.
      • Over time, if the update proves stable, it will be rolled out to more users.
      • This phased approach improves the stability and reliability of Ubuntu.

      I suspect my system needs this to play my games correctly. If Ubuntu is testing this and needs volunteers, then I accept.

          As always (mostly always), Linux gives you choices.

            I was able to install them with:
            Code:
            sudo apt -o APT::Get::Always-Include-Phased-Updates=true upgrade
            Yes, I know what doing that means.
