    Kodi keyboard not working

Yesterday I freshly installed Kubuntu 24.04 LTS on my old PC. Today I tried to install kodi (both through the discover app and sudo apt), but once I've started it up, the keyboard doesn't seem to work. Strangely, whenever I boot kodi through the console with "sudo kodi", the keyboard works. Is there any reason why this happens? I've tried multiple keyboards, but to no avail...

Typo? You're posting in 24.04 LTS. 22.04 is EOL and wasn't an LTS.

Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

        sudo usermod -aG input $USER
        Code:
        sudo usermod -aG plugdev $USER
        Code:
        sudo usermod -aG video $USER
