Does System Monitor crash sometimes on start up?

    I have Kubuntu 24.04
It hasn't happened in a week or 2 but before that, very rarely, it would crash at startup.

I have a AMD Radeon RX 6800 video card and Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz CPU.
When I open System Monitor, it opens on Overview so I quickly click on History.

I always keep my system up to date.

If it happens again you could try resetting the configuration by deleting the directory ~/.local/share/plasma-systemmonitor.

    if you start it with
    Code:
    plasma-systemmonitor --page-name History
it will start on that page.

You can use the KDE Menu Editor to enter the Command-line arguments "--page-name History" for the menu item, but it might be better to drag it from the menu to the desktop or a panel, then right-click that, Properties, Application tab and enter the arguments there.

      Thanks,
      that plasma-systemmonitor --page-name History
worked but it would be better if the software saved its state without the user having to modify Start menu command line things.
