I had to fight with Gimp a bit to get some plugins to work after I upgraded to Gimp 3. That problem is solved, but it was after some installing and reinstalling. Now Gimp and the plugins run just fine. However, if I right click on an image in Dolphin, choose "open with" and choose Gimp to open it, it doesn't work. (See screenshot.) However, I can do that and go down and choose "other application," I can choose my correct Gimp install to open it. I just don't know how to get the right install of Gimp to show up in the menu that you see in the screen shot. The one in the screenshot if from an old version's install via Flatpak that I've since uninstalled. The new version 3 is also installed via Flatpak, but that install does not come up in that context menu. Anyone know how I can get it in there?

you will want to visit your file associations settings page to control what appears in that menu and in what order... however you also may need to delete the orphaned .desktop file so that it's no longer an option at all
you should be able to find the .desktop file in one of these directories
Code:~/.local/share/applications/ /usr/share/applications/
