YouTube sometimes slows down the video and the YouTube talks really slow sounds like gurgling. Could I be missing one or more needed codecs? Is there a command that lists installed codecs and then you could look and tell me if I need to install something? Games also don't play videos correctly.

Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.

usually just installing VLC if it's not already installed does the trick
it's probably a pipewire thing and nothing to do with codecs.
audio issues are hard to pin down sometimes.
