Installing Open JDK Kubuntu 24.04

Hey people! This is a very rudimentary question but i Quite literally am a new comer to Java as in i only started today. Is there any open source java development tool that comes with a GUI. Something like Gambas 3? I tried Swing but it's looking for a license. To be honest I'm unemployed so i can't really afford to pay for anything at the moment.
I'd appreciate any and i do mean ANY feedback!
