    Notepadqq and Onboard crashing often

    I was using Notepadqq often on Kubuntu 22.04. It comes from Discover.
    I online upgraded to Kubuntu 24.04.
    It crashes pretty often. Like each time I open it, when I click on new a few times, when I type a bit. It seems to crash when i am not touching it.
    I deleted the .config/Notepadqq folder
    and the file
    Notepadqqrc

    Onboard crashes as soon as I open it.

    KCalc, LibrOffice, Firefox, Brave, Kate, Chrome, Qt Creator and my apps work fine.
    OS=Kubuntu 24.04 CPU=Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz L3 = 32 MB RAM=24 GB
    GPU=AMD RX 6800 16 GB
    HDD=It's not 1 TB. It's 931 GB. Do the math!
    For Ubuntu/Kubuntu, get rid of the Spectre crap mitigations to get full CPU performance.Run lscpu. Notice the lines starting with Vulnerability. Do you have the word "mitigation". That's bad. Edit the file /etc/default/grub. You might find the line that says

    Use an editor that actually has seen development since 2018?

    Unfortunately, bitrot looks to be settling in here.

      Well, I just need a simple text editor like Notepad that can open 4 MB files with no newline characters and they perform well, I can turn on word wrapping, I can scroll.
