Automatic start of Calamares after boot from iso.

Hello, I'm evaluating concept of provisioning Kubuntu with Foreman. I'm able to boot hosts with PXE using standard Live iso image. The goal is to fully automate process. My idea is to replace Try or Install Kubuntu menu with install by default without asking and custom Calamares setup.

Where is configuration responsible for displaying this menu ?

The installer Calamares does not support this, currently.

An option might be to use a netinstall or mini Ubuntu ISO (not the server one, though this might just add extra steps to remove unneeded items)
Then you could use normal Ubuntu autoinstall tools, and using kubuntu-desktop instead of ubuntu-desktop (I assume it would work, never tried this)

An option, though it may be more complex than whatever you are using now.

Currently i have working process provisioning standard Ubuntu with GNOME using autoinstall. However it turned out that Kubuntu is preffered by many users. Especially those accustomed to Windows feel safer. I want to give them choice. First impression of Calamares was that it is less complicated than autoinstall and promising. Patching Calamares is not yet an option with my lack of experience and current number of installations. I'll probably prepare fewest clicks config and gain some experience along the way.

Anyway thank you for information that is not supported, it probably saved me few hours of browsing.

Just from curiosity back to my initial question - maybe i just overlooked something but wasn't able to find it in Plasma autostart or systemd - how the menu "Try or Install Kubuntu" is triggered?

There is an application package called kubuntu-installer-prompt that appears to just be an autostart item in the live OS image.
