    [RESOLVED] Unable to Install 24.04

Upgrading from 23.10 to 24.04 was a disaster, no doubt in part because I was running the Nvidia 550 driver in 23.10 and resolving that issue has been problematic so I decided on a fresh install. Never had a problem with a distribution upgrade in over 10 years but I do now. I downloaded the iso file from the official site, confirmed the checksum and wrote it to a USB drive. The USB drive boots the PC and presents the grub menu where I choose to try or install Kubuntu. That takes me to the wallpaper screen however it is blank, no icons to click on etc so cannot install (or try).

Any ideas on what is going on here?

    Bad ISO download?
    Bad "burn?"
Try different tools for USB creation?
Try safe graphics mode from grub? I *think* that's still a boot option.
Which option did you select, Try or Install? Did you try the other?

Those are usually the first things to look at.

Happy to say I discovered the problem which was that the screen with the try Ubuntu and install Ubuntu clickable buttons was being sent to my second, disabled screen. Once I realised this installation proceeded smoothly.
