Try or install Kubuntu screen even after installing Kubuntu!

I have just installed Kubuntu but every time I login, I encounter the same screen I see with live usb drive which asks to Try or Install Kubuntu! Selecting each option brings me to the installed system but how can I get rid of this?

Did you properly remove the installation drive?

Yes, Installation was successful, but I see the screen after logging in before loading the desktop.

I can't tell from your answer if you answered my question. The USB drive you used to install Kubuntu from MUST BE REMOVED after you are told the installation was successful and before rebooting. IF you keep the installation USB drive plugged in, then you are going to boot from it with a restart/reboot of your PC.

Of course I have removed the installation media! My question is about the installed system which keeps showing the screen after each login!

Thank you for clarifying. From what source (URL) did you obtain the installation file (ISO)? How did you create the installation media (USB stick I assume)?

So, there were no errors or issues during the install?

This a new one on me, to be honest. Or it escapes my recollection.

Try using apt to uninstall these items:

              calamares
              calamares-settings-kubuntu
              kubuntu-installer-prompt

              Code:
sudo apt purge calamares calamares-settings-kubuntu kubuntu-installer-prompt
There may be some packages offered for autoremove that are no longer needed when these are uninstalled. It is safe to do so.

It sounds like Calamares' post-install package removal didn't happen or failed but didn't send an error message somehow.
