Kubunut 22.04 LTS no longer support?

    Hello ,

have installed Kubuntu 22.04 LTS on my laptop and am pleasantly surprised how well it function.

i am getting pop-up however, that the OS is no longer getting security updates and hence should update to 24.04 LTS.

Is 22.04 not supposed to be supported at leaast until 2027 according to this timeline here?

However, the underlying Ubuntu OS (kernels, Firefox, some desktop applications will still have the 5-year LTS support from Ubuntu.
The Kubuntu parts -- Plasma -- only have a three-year support span. This is true for all of the Ubuntu Flavours.

      thanks

i upgraded to 24.04 but there are high CPU spkes

system monitor does not show all programs open in list (notably, firefox is open and missing**).

why would system monitor account for 10 -13 % of CPU (admittedly only a DualCore APU)
