I have an old PC, which usually I don’t run the X server. I just use it for cryptomining.
This is just for your info.
I wiped the HDD. I installed Kubuntu 24.04.

THE PROBLEM:
There was the live environment which was glitchy. There was some flashing. I think all the text was rendering fine.
I finished installing Kubuntu and rebooted.
At the login screen, there is no text. The mouse is fine. The graphics are fine.
I logged in. There is still the same glitchiness:
-There is some flashing at times.
-The text on the Start menu, the text in various windows looks fine.
-If I click on Reboot, that screen where I can choose sleep, reboot, shutdown, ....there is no text at all. No text on the OK and Cancel buttons either.
I applied the updates available in Discover. I reboot.
The same problem persists.
I did not change any settings. I am pretty sure it is using Xorg and not Wayland.
