    [SOLVED] An observation re. Psensor

    Hi,

Since several months or maybe even a year my laptop would suddenly loose the KDE panel and the only way to recover the system would be a hard shut down.
This would happen more and more often.

Now I found a solution, normally I'd have Psensor running but once it is off the computer regains its normal Linux stability.
To be sure and because I hardly ever looked at it anyway I uninstalled it.

i've also found psensor to have issues... it seems to work but doesn't add anything to plasma's builtin monitor tools and for command line work i just use lm-sensors

Now you mention it, about a year ago when I started using it it would display one temperature in the panel, that lasted only a few months.
And yes there are other monitoring tools.

Never had an issue with it on my laptop. Is there a lot to be gained by using it? Probably not, I mostly let mine sit in the tray.
