The "Test" button in System Settings → Notifications only verifies that the sound file can be played. It doesn't verify that the application or service actually emits that notification event.
When you empty the trash:
Do you get a popup saying "Trash emptied"?
Does it appear in the notification history (bell icon in the system tray)?
If no popup appears, then Dolphin isn't generating that notification at all, which explains why no sound plays.
If a popup appears but there is no sound, then the notification is being emitted but the sound isn't being honored, which is likely a Plasma bug.Last edited by die.boer; Today, 03:22 PM.ʟɨռʊӼ ʄօʀ ʟɨʄɛ
