remote desktop setting not shown in system settings

I am trying to set up a simple remote session, and looking at ideas on the internet Kubuntu 26.04 users demonstrate a setting I just do not have on any of my 3 machines with Kubuntu 26.04. It is supposed to reside in settings>system>remote. I have no such setting in any of my installs. Is it because I did a minimal install and removed all snaps?

Kubuntu 26.04 users

Kubuntu users specifically, or general Plasma 6 users, maybe? Not all distros include the RDP server by default (Kubuntu is one), and I am sure these folks demonstrating it might just forget to mention what is needed.

Install krdp.
This will pull in all the needed RDP sever components, and add the missing module in System Settings.
Use the search field, or find it under Networking.

And don't worry, the location in System Settings will change next time you upgrade, lol. It is now under "Security" in 6.7
