Kinfo does not report graphics platform

when you run kinfo from a command line it reports everything about your system, except for the graphics platform.

i found this relevant bug report
    bugs.kde.org
476012 – kinfo reports "offscreen" as the Graphics Platform when run in a...

and there appears to be a solution that was approved by @ngraham in 2024

    so what happens next?

does this patch eventually make it to our distro or is there something else that needs to happen?

it would be helpful for this and other help websites to be able to just have ppl post the output of kinfo but alas it leaves out what is perhaps the most relevant fact.

The fix is in the Plasma/6.0 branch, so unless you have Plasma 6.0x, you won't see the graphics platform you are using, just the fallback: "offscreen".

so.... have the user use Kinfocenter and click the 'copy' button.

It can be found in the Places section of the Application Launcher, as well as at the very bottom of System Settings' left pane.

When I am booted to Kubuntu 24.04, it shows the same types of information, including the graphics platform.
