How to Disable autocomplete

Every time I type a text (kate, libreoffice, browser bar, anywhere I need to enter text) a list of words appears and it is very annoying. How to disable this.

Each application will have its own settings. for this

Kate has a focus on coding, so autocomplete/suggestions are an expected feature. Kwrite is in a sense a simpler version of kate, so that is one option.
Kate's settings for this will be in the Editing section in its settings.

Firefox -- look for the Address bar in its settings

Libreoffice, it is in there somewhere....
