    Bugged notice

I just started receiving a bugged pop-up notice.
    Upgrade available.
    Ubuntu on 22.10.
This version will stop receiving updates and security fixes in 860 days.
You might want to fix this.

Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.

    it might not be broken.
Is your upgrade notifications set to normal releases? Check your Software Sources tool.
Is your current Kubuntu version an upgrade from a non-LTS version?

And the *you* here would be launchpad's bug reporting website. I don't think anyone from Ubuntu visits us here.

So....by your settings, this is all 100% correct .
22.04 is supported for that number of days as an LTS (Kubuntu 22.04 is EOL in April 2025), and you have upgrade notifications set to normal, non-LTS upgrades, so you get a prompt for 22.10.

It looks to me like it is saying that 22.10 will stop working in 860 days. So it is just worded badly.
