Fresh install of 23.04 with kernel 6.2.0-20. Same problem and same solution

Yes Fedora with kernel 6.1 still works with iommu disabled in bios. Will keep you posted

It could be interesting if kernel 6.1 will make a difference.

Perhaps you would like to keep us posted after Kubuntu 23.04 came out.

started a topic [DESKTOP] iommu on new kernel

    iommu on new kernel

For 6 years I have happily used iommu=soft on the kernel command line with iommu disabled in the bios (GA-970A-DS3P AMD chipset). But upgrading from 22.04 to 22.10 resulted in the USB2 ports not working with the new kernel 5.19.0-23-generic, whereas both USB2 and USB3 ports are working with the older kernel 5.15.0-52-generic (inherited from 22.04).

Solved this by enabling iommu in bios and instead using the command line parameter iommu=pt Hope this might help somebody
