[SOLVED] Default browser set for Chromium in Thunderbird?

In 22.04, I have set Firefox as the default browser. I then installed Chromium. Now when I click on a link in an email (in Thunderbird), it opens in Chromium, not in Firefox as desired. I have searched everything on this, but haven't seen the correct solution. Any experience with this? ideas?

      Could be.
Did you go back and double check things in System Settings?? A new browser install can set the default to the new one.
Also check T-bird's own settings. No idea if this is still needed, this has its own settings for default applications, and historically ignored desktop settings for this.

The System Settings for 22.04 are still set for Firefox default.
T-Bird's settings are more cryptic -- I'm not seeing where they are at, unless they are Edit > Settings and then the section Files and Attachments. The only thing listed there under Content Type is PDF with the Action being Preview in Thunderbird. I don't see how to use that section for http, https, or even how to edit it. How strange. Older posts on the Internet are for Windows or they reference Options > Preferences and then some config file thingy (which I recall being for Windows).

OMG! As I typed all this, I again quickly checked 22.04 System Settings > Apps > Default and Chrome was set as the default browser!!!!? I have been checking it almost obsessively to ensure it was still Firefox, but this time, just now, it had flipped to Chrome! WTHeck! I tested it, and it works. But I'm skeptical as the dickens now! ha-ha Thanks.
