    [SOLVED] Printer/Cups quit working. ?

One day the printer worked in a normal fashion, the next day it didn't.
    Kubuntu 22.04
Opened CUPS and I had the red Xs on the printer/fax.
Usually I just delete the printer and reinstall it.
This time it could not find ANY printers.

    Any suggestions?

Wireless or wired connection? I'm assuming wireless. Make and Model of the printer? Have you tried booting the previous kernel?

      Wired
      HP Laserjet Professional M1212nf MFP
I have not tried the previous kernel.

The wife's computer did the same thing at the same time and she connects to the house system via a wireless hookup to the modem.
I think I will fiddle with the printer's hardwire connection to the modem this morning.

        What a deal that was.
Apparently 20.04 and the HP software were having an argument over who was going to run the printer.
        20.04 won.
During all that I discovered that the wife's computer was still running 18.04 so I updated hers to 20.04.
It all seems to be working now.
        Weird.
