The official MariaDB repo from your how-to does not yet have packages for Jammy, it seems that MariaDB simply haven't gotten around to releasing anything for 22.04 yet.
    Jammy has 10.6.7 natively.

It doesn't look like it will be possible at the moment to run this pre-production version in 22.04, unless you can find someone who has built it.

Thank you for your quick reply. I guess I'll have to wait. I was going to try the new Kubuntu, but I have to go back. I need to use Cqrlog https://www.cqrlog.com/ and it doesn't work with 10.6 with my db. I go back to the EOS system, which is a newer version, and it works perfectly for me. After a while, I'll try again.
