    Upgrade with USB-Stick

I'd like to upgrade several machines without downloading the upgrade every time. Is that possible?

Unfortunately, no. Or not easily. *buntu does not have such a capability. The installer image is not a collection of packages, but a disk image. The only way to upgrade locally would be to create a local mirror of the Ubuntu archives, which will probably involve downloading a LOT more than what a few machine's worth of upgrades.
