Konsole keeps showing "too many arguments"

Why is my Konsole showing this error mesage all the time?

jacatone@jacatone-X55U:~$ cd apt-cache search touchpad-indicator
bash: cd: too many arguments
jacatone@jacatone-X55U:~$

cd is not useful here, so don't use it.
cd=Change Directory, so it is out of place for your command.
apt search touchpad-indicator is all you need.
