Discover Install/Remove button doesn't get updated after operation?

If I install/remove a package in Discover the button remains the same, it doesn't get updated automatically, I have to reopen Discovery to see the actual status of the package. Is this normal behavior or a bug?

I'd say it's not working properly; if I get Discover to install something the "Install" button turns into "Remove". You might try clearing out ~/.cache/discover.

Thank you for the response! I've just tried clearing the cache for Discover, but it didn't change the buttons' behavior. I still can "install" the same package right after installing it.

I've just tried it on a different machine, a brand new install with all updates, and it's the same.

Are you sure it isn't just taking a long time? I have seen this on Flatpak installs in the past, when their servers have been slow.

          BUT:
          https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429774
Of course it is not universal, and not easily reproducible

I don't recall ever seeing this problem myself, but it might be worth upgrading Plasma et all via Kubuntu's official PPA.

I'm not sure if I gave enough time, I waited a couple of minutes. But apparently upgrading Plasma fixed this issue. Thank you!
P.S. Is PPA kinda like a release candidate thing? I'm quite new to Linux and the terms being used.

No, it has normal release versions of Plasma stuff, it is just that Ubuntu by design doesn't allow for fairly rapid and major updates/upgrades in their normal software archive for most things, so Kubuntu utilize PPAs for such purposes, as Snowhog linked to above.
This is quite Ubuntu-specific, and only useful for distros based on it. Any *buntu, Pop!, Mint, etc.
