How to keep Num Lock on by default during startup?

    Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum, so please let me know if this is not the right place to post this.
I wanted to know, how to keep the num lock on by default during startup?

You can search System Settings for it ("num" or "lock", etc), but look for the keyboard options in the Input Devices section.

Yeah I tried that. In the system settings->Input Devices->Keyboard, Num lock on plasma startup is turned 'on' but it does not work. The num lock is never 'on ' by default in the lock screen.

Plasma startup is after you login. (With the right conjunction of the planets and correctly performed sacrifices, one can have a choice of desktop environments at login.)

On some computers, there's a firmware (aka BIOS, loosely) setting for this.

I had this issue one time, System Settings Num Lock turned on, but Bios had it turned on. So I think the two settings canceled themselves out. That was on a Dell laptop. The solution was off in bios, on in Settings.
