    [SOLVED] Question about ffmpeg installation

My question is simple. I have a Think pad core i7 regular Intel graphic card. Question is, How would be the best way to install ffmpeg on my laptop if there is a better way other than downloading it from the repose raw?

The reason why I am trying to do such a thing is because I do want to convert my videos to WebM. Do we have a gui or a tool like ffmpeg2theora to convert to webm videos?

Thank you for your kind answer.

You may already have ffmpeg, most programs involving audio/video use it as a tool.
System level tools like these are best installed from official repos, unless you need something specific, and are comfortable with potentially needing to customize or modifying things in your system

handbrake is the tool you want for converting/transcoding
If you use any video editors, many of these can also render to this format as well.
