KIOClient - never seems to connect

Lets say I open Discover and look at Plasma add-ons>fonts or any anything in the list and click on something of interest and there is normally a URL somewhere on the site linking to the developer's site or a down load site. When clicked a kioclient window pops up to tell me it has a socket time out problem. Some research indicated that gvfs needed to be installed for it to work, so I installed gvfs but it makes no difference. Has anyone had any sucess in getting the kioclient to work?

The socket timeout is probably indicating a problem on the store website's servers (store.kde.org) - it has been very slow to broken much of them time over the past few weeks or more. It is not something happening or your end.
