Disable preview of taskbar items

While I enjoy the taskbar item preview, it often annoys when trying to click something near to the taskbar. Mostly the preview would be launched and I end up click on the preview than the bottom part of the page. It would nice if I can turn it off temporarily. Thanks.

I don't think this is possible. It looks like you can enable or disable them in the task manager's right-click settings, but there is no way I see to do so via a key combo or other way to easily toggle it off and on.

I understand your frustration, I largely overcame it by moving the taskbar to the right hand (vertical) side.
Kind of logic on a widescreen.

I turned off " Show Tooltip " and it vanished altogether. I think I will keep this way for a couple of days. Hopefully it will be business as usual. Thanks again.
