[SOLVED] Garbled Desktop Icons - How to refresh using command line?

Every so often I notice that the text for the desktop icons gets garbled up. I know logging out and back in would clear it out, but with multiple items open at any given moment, I'd prefer not. Is there some sort of command I can run that would refresh the desktop to clear this up?

    Kubuntu 20.04
    Plasma - 5.18.5
    Kernel - 5.13.0-27
    Nvidia - GeForce GTX 1050Ti
    Nvidia drivers - 460.91.03

This reminds me of a related issue: Rt-click > Refresh Desktop ... it's not clear what that does, if anything.

The image the OP provided and his description tells me it's a corrupted cache issue.

Try using krunner (alt-f2 or alt-spacebar) and see if using plasmashell --replace helps.
