[SOLVED] Strange GRUB dual boot problem

    Hi,

My laptop is dual booting with WIndows and Kubuntu. This morning...worked absolutely fine. I booted it again this afternoon and got a GRUB error with minimal bash-like line editing error screen. Now, if I override the boot and choose to boot into windows (using the UEFI/BIOS menu) then it boots straight into Windows. Now, the weird thing, if I reboot from Windows, GRUB works absolutely fine. For reference, GRUB version is 2.04.

If, from Kubuntu, I reboot, I am yet again greeted by a GRUB problem. Can anyone help me, whilst treating me as if I am a total idiot, because otherwise I won't understand what you're on about

    Many thanks in advance

Don't worry everyone, problem solved. I used Boot Repair, and then on rebooting it just didn't load the GRUB dual boot screen but just booted straight into Linux. I then opened up GRUB customiser, which showed Windows as being listed, so I didn't change anything but clicked "save configuration", rebooted and GRUB menu appears as it should.

    Cheers
