    [SOLVED] No Wireless

My previously working wireless has stopped. Here are the data that I have:
Adapter: ALFA AWUS1900 with Realtek RTL8814U driver
    Results of iwconfig:
    lo no wireless extensions.

    enp0s31f6 no wireless extensions.

    wlx00c0caabd0e1 unassociated Nickname:"WIFI@RTL8814AU"

Link Quality=0/100 Signal level=0 dBm Noise level=0 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0

    vmnet1 no wireless extensions.

    vmnet8 no wireless extensions.

    Results of inxi -nx:

    lsusb does show the adapter

I have little idea what I'm looking at, but could "wlx00c0caabd0e1 unassociated Nickname:"WIFI@RTL8814AU"" be the problem? If it is, how do I "associate" it?

    Thanks.

It's not really accurate to say I solved it. I stumbled onto the solution. Because my adapter is external, it did not have the wlan0 "label." I had to run sudo ip link set wlx00c0caabd0e1 up
Then it worked. On iwconfig it shows up associated with the network. I am relieved. I'm also not very smart and can't get out of my own way.
